Yucca Road Press’s second book just came back from the printer: “Cheyenne Birds by the Month, 104 Species of Southeastern Wyoming’s Resident and Visiting Birds.”
The photos are by Cheyenne photographer Pete Arnold. I wrote interesting information about each species. Originally, this was a collaboration for the Wyoming Tribune Eagle called “Bird of the Week.”
I’m working on distribution. The Cheyenne Botanic Gardens gift shop and the Wyoming State Museum gift shop will carry the book soon. The CBG is scheduling two book signings, Nov. 20, 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. and Dec. 9, 1-3 p.m. For those of you too far from Cheyenne to pick up a copy, we plan to make the book available on Amazon eventually.
Pete and I will give a talk about the book Oct. 16, 7 p.m., in the Cottonwood Room at the Laramie County Library for the Cheyenne – High Plains Audubon Society.
Stay tuned for a look inside the book–Chris Hoffmeister, Western Sky Design, did a great job designing it.
