“Cheyenne Bird Banter” book available now

“Cheyenne Bird Banter” is the nickname for the monthly column I write and now, in addition to the Wyoming Tribune Eagle archives and my posts at https://cheyennebirdbanter.wordpress.com/, it’s available in print through Barnes and Noble online: “Cheyenne Bird Banter: 25 Years of Bird and Birdwatching News.” (And Amazon, too, just not local stores yet.)

It’s everything I’ve written for the WTE between 1999 and January 2024. And it’s 466 pages, including a couple indexes, in an 8.5 x 11-inch format. No pictures. $36.95. It’s primarily meant to benefit my kids and grandkids so they don’t have to deal with file drawers full of clippings.

But, if you wait, I’m working on a “Best of” version where I’ll leave out the none-bird articles such as the book reviews, non-bird travel pieces, scout camp stories, etc., though I may keep “Letters from a Moose Hunt.”

If you are a longtime Bird Banter reader, you are invited to send me a list of your favorite columns by Oct. 1, 2024. You can find the headline and date of publication at https://cheyennebirdbanter.wordpress.com/, where there is a Search button to help you find what you remember.
